If you are looking to make the most out of the spring season then, here are some awesome spring self-care ideas for you to feel new and start the new season with positive sunshine vibes!
Let’s change up your self-care habits in honour of springtime. For many, it’s also the ideal occasion to begin practicing self-care, if you’re not so great at allocating time to looking after yourself.
Spring Self-Care Ideas
Go on a walk and take notice of the blooms and birds chirping – such a simple way to enjoy spring and very much needed if you’ve had a cold winter.
Buy yourself some spring flowers – tulips, daffodils, hyacinth. You can go for cut flowers or a plant to put in the garden. Or if you’re like me you’ll do both!
Read in the sunshine – See if you can allocate time every day to get outside and read a chapter.
Detox and refresh your fridge – add in-season fruits and veg and remove any unhealthy items. This is also a great time to meal prep some healthy snacks.
Lighten up your wardrobe – put your winter clothes away and only add lighter feel-good clothing that makes you feel good. Also, make sure to remove any clothes from your closet that don’t fit or you don’t wear. This reduces stress when deciding what to wear.
Exercise in the backyard (yoga, Pilates, jump rope, stretching, etc)
Feed the birds – Put up a bird feeder and enjoy the simplicity of watching birds enjoy the food and calling their friends over!
Plan your garden – decide what perennials, annuals and veggies you want to plant this year. Perfect if you love gardening, but also for those who want to begin gardening this spring and summer.
Get outside and just breathe – This is the perfect thing to do if you are stressed but also if you just want to feel invigorated. It’s a little thing but has a big impact.
Open the windows and let the fresh air in
Drink more water and add natural flavour to it such as cucumber slices, strawberries, mint, lemon, lime, oranges, a sprig of rosemary
Get up early and watch the sunrise – or if you prefer the sunset
Create a happy playlist. Add some upbeat tunes that make you feel fantastic
Sit outside in the rain (under a porch or covering) – to appreciate the simple patter of the falling rain
Go on a nature walk – find a hiking trail, go to a park or even walk around your neighbourhood and take note of what you see
