Top 5 ways to beat the heat in Italy

Beach on the Amalfi Coast

One of the best ways to beat the heat in Italy is to do what many people do during the summer here, go to the beaches. The beaches are a perfect way to cool off on a hot day, as the ocean is very nice in the blistering hot summer.

Another way to beat the heat is very like the beach, but it's actually using a pool. The pool is nice because it gives the same cooling effect as the beach, but it’s a lot more private and can be more accessible as it may even be in your backyard, which makes it very easy to cool down and beat the heat.

The third way to beat the heat is to have a nice cold gelato from a gelateria. Getting gelato with friends or family is also a bonus as you can spend some quality time with them. Gelato is a perfect way to keep cool as it is a cool treat that beats the heat.

The fourth way to escape the heat is to choose your clothing correctly. When going outside, it’s very smart to dress lightly and not overdress as doing so can make you even hotter on a hot day. Also, wearing lighter coloured clothing helps to keep cool, as lighter colours don’t trap the heat as much as darker clothes.

Still looking for ways to beat the heat? Hydrate, hydrate, and hydrate. Drinking water and other liquids is one of the best ways because, with heat and more sweat, everyone needs to drink more water. That is one of the more important ways as everyone needs water, and staying hydrated during the summer is very key.
