Why you should print your photos

With cameras at our fingertips a lot of us now document the nitty gritty of our everyday lives. Yet how often do you look at your photos? Do you get as much enjoyment from the memories as you could? Here are a few reasons why we think you should take the time to print your most sacred memories.

Technology is not perfect

Digital files can get corrupted, lost or deleted. Printing your most important memories is a good way to back up your files. Additionally, file quality can deteriorate with time (every time you open, edit and save them again), so printing them now means printing the highest-quality version of your photographs.

Tangible memories

If you are like me, you have a phone full of pictures capturing moments that you just HAD to take. Yet, how often do you really go back and look at them? We rarely take the time to go back through our digital photos, unless we are fresh from an event, Facebook shows us a memory or we want to show someone who’s interested. But I am certain that if you hang them on the wall or have a few albums laying around, they’ll get looked at. If you paid for a professional photoshoot, this will also guarantee that you get more out of your investment.

Relatives and friends love physical photos

I am sorry, but I am going to say it, nobody loves looking at a slideshow of hundreds of photos, each photo similar to the next. Printing your photos will force you to be selective, therefore creating a presentation of purposely picked moments to cherish and share. Your loved ones will appreciate going through your pictures a lot more, and your keepsakes could be looked upon by many generations yet to come.

It is easier than ever

Printing photos and creating photo albums is easier than ever. You also have so many more creative options to choose from. You will find lots of online companies that will help you create photo albums or wall prints and ship them directly to you. Not to worry, if you are old school, you can still get your 4x6 photos printed at your local shop (or online) and slip them into an album.
